HBO - Up to March 2019, there have been 39 vocational education institutions in the province, the scale of training is from 15 to 16 thousand employees each year. In the period from 2013-2018, the vocational education institutions and other educational establishments with vocational education activities have provided vocational training for nearly 85 thousand laborers at different levels (2,092 students at the college level, 9,407 students at the intermediate ones, labor 29,361 laborers at the primary level and 43,731 workers at the under-three-month level).
Among them, 24,117 rural laborers have been trained in
elementary and vocational training for less than 3 months. Vocational
activities have particularized the guidelines and the solutions of the whole
life learning movement in the family, the family line and the community. At the
same time, it plays an important role in improving the quality of human
resources.
The community learning center in My Hoa commune (Kim Boi) in
collaboration with the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education
regularly organizes the industrial sewing classes for people in the commune.
In recent years, in order to increase the quantity and
quality to meet the socio-economic development requirements of the province,
the Provincial People's Committee has issued and instructed the implementation
of the policies on exemption, reduction of the tuition fees, and vocational
training support at the primary level and the policy for post-graduate
learners. They have been attaching the vocational education to the needs of the
labor market and the undertaking to attract investment for the economic
development.
The system of vocational education institutions in the
province have been developing rapidly and widely. After the merger, there have
been 10 centers for regular education and vocational training at the district
level; 4 centers belong to the provincial associations, unions and agencies; 1
private vocational center and 17 other establishments with vocational education
activities. The vocational training institutions in the province have reviewed
the training programs, editing and supplementing in accordance with the
regulations on the output standards. They have actively participated in the
teachers' conferences, the national skills competitions, the self-made
equipment competitions to exchange experiences and they have gained the certain
results.
In addition, the vocational education activities in some
schools have made positive changes. Many schools have actively selected and
integrated the vocational programs with the contents suitable to the local
production practices, having improved the quality and efficiency of the
vocational education and having increased the attractiveness for learners. In
particular, the province has focused on opening classes for general education,
intermediate education and intermediate vocational training. Currently, the
proportion of those who are from 18-21 years old with the Diploma of High
School Graduation and Technical Secondary School has reached over 70%
(increasing nearly 6% compared to 2013); the education for adults has created
practical results, improving the local intellectuals.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025. The project, funded by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), aims to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students.
