(HBO) - Promoting the humanitarian and charity work, all levels of the Red Cross of Tan Lac district have organized many exciting, practical and widespread activities, targeting the people with difficult circumstances in the area, helping ease the difficulties in life.
Since the beginning of the year, the Red
Cross has cooperated with other charitable individuals and organizations to
implement the social security through the activities such as supporting money
and essential necessities for people with difficult circumstances and
especially difficult situations, the poor children, the lonely and helpless
elderly people.
Implementing the movement "Tet for the poor and the victims of
Agent Orange” in 2019, the Red Cross has supported 1,890 turns of households
with a total value of 936 million dongs including money and gifts. Receiving
the generosity from the charity associations, the Red Cross has given 5 tons of
rice to 250 poor households with difficult circumstances in Quyet Chien, Lung
Van and Nam Son communes through the program "The Hot Meal Warm up the
Highland”. At the same time, they have also given over 200 sets of warm clothes
with a total value of 70 million VND.

Nhan commune repairing his house.
In Ngoi Hoa, Trung Hoa, Do Nhan, Lo Son
communes and other difficult areas, the Red Cross has presented 628 gifts
including money, rice, clothes and other necessities with a total value of 292
million VND for the poor children, those who are under the preferential
policies and the victims of Agent Orange. Additionally, the fund from Thien Tam
Group belonging to Vingroup has given 350 gifts with total value of 175 million
VND. In response to the peak month "Tet for the poor and the victims of Agent
Orange”, from the fund of the Red Cross, the different levels have awarded 480
gifts to the families under the preferential policies and the poor with a total
value of 240 million dongs.
In the "Humanitarian month" in
2019, the Red Cross has coordinated with the District’s Post Office to organize
the opening of a box for humanitarian fund with a view to donating and supporting
those who are in difficult circumstances in the area. Continuing to implement
the "Gratitude meals” model, the Red Cross has organized 10 deliveries of rice,
porridge, milk to 400 poor patients at the District’s Health Center during the
first 6 months of this year. In addition, the charitable activities, collecting
blankets, warm clothes for children in remote areas have also been widely
deployed.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025. The project, funded by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), aims to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students. The event saw the attendance of representatives from the TFCF and 26 beneficiary schools.
