(HBO) – Elsewhere, spring is still around the corner, but in Hang Kia and Pa Co communes of Mai Chau district, the colour of spring has covered every hamlet, road and house. Fog spreads to every corner, the light drizzle falls on red peach blossom and white plum flowers, and boys and girls joyfully chat. All have beautified local Mong ethnic hamlets in visitors’ eyes.
Roads and essential infrastructure facilities developed concertedly
in Hang Kia commune have created momentum for local socio-economic development.

standards of residents have improved considerably. The local household economy
has developed thanked to labourers equipped with scientific-technological
knowledge and vocational skills.
He noted Hang Kia has paid attention to building
suitable economic models. It has also benefited from the structures and
projects invested in the commune, as well as support from organisations and
individuals.
Notably, since a recent investment promotion
conference of Hang Kia and Pa Co organised by authorities of Hoa Binh province
and Mai Chau district, some businesses and investors have come to learn about
Hang Kia’s potential and advantages to consider making investment, especially
in the field of tourism. As a result, more and more tourists have visited the
commune in recent years, helping local families enjoy a merry Lunar New Year
(Tet) festival last year.
Aside from travellers from far and wide, many
provincial and district delegations also visited and presented Tet gifts to the
Party organisation, administration and families of Hang Kia, especially
low-income and disadvantaged households, Vau said, describing the gifts as an
encouragement to local Mong ethnic people to make more progress.
The official added that thanks to the active
leadership of the communal Party Committee and People’s Committee, along with
cadres and people’s consensus, Hang Kia attained important outcomes in 2019.
Total production value approximated 55.9 billion
VND (2.4 million USD), equivalent to 129 percent of the target and up 33.7
percent year on year. It included 44.825 billion VND in agricultural production
value; 7.839 billion VND in trade, services and tourism value; and 3.231
billion VND in the handicraft industry’s production value. The grain food
output in the commune surpassed 3,300 tonnes, all local households have
accessed the national power grid and safe water, the average per capita income
reached 15.1 million VND, and the household poverty rate was reduced to about
30 percent./.
