(HBO) - Amid the complex development of the Covid-19 epidemic, even though no infection case has been reported in the province, the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and the provincial People’s Committee have issued many instructions in the spirit of proactively coping with the disease.

Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dang Ninh inspects disease prevention work at schools in Hoa Binh city.

Under the drastic direction of the provincial Party Committee and the provincial People’s Committee, the steering boards for epidemic prevention at provincial and district levels along with their member agencies have urgently designed possible scenarios and response plans. At the same time, preparations in terms of facilities and materials for prevention, isolation and treatment work have been made. Funding and human resources for epidemic prevention and combat have also been ensured under the motto of mobilizing on-the-spot resources. In particularly, Party committees and administrations at all levels have suspended activities gathering large numbers of people such as festivals, meetings or conferences under their management, in order to prevent diseases from spreading, while putting in place plans to respond to any emergency situation.

Since early February, leaders of the provincial Party Committee and provincial People’s Committee as well as members of all-level steering boards for epidemic prevention have regularly made inspections of disease prevention at grassroots level, with the aim of ensuring every family and every citizen understand and follow disease prevention measures.

As of February 24, there has been no case testing positive to Covid-19, and all 16 suspected cases have tested negative to the disease caused by corona virus. Twelve medical facilities capable of hospitalizing and treating Covid-19 have taken initiative in preparing personnel and medical equipment and materials, and have received, sorted, quarantined and treated suspected cases in line with requirements.

Medical establishments have also put in place plans to respond to the case that there is/are patients testing positive to Covid-19. The educational sector has closed schools from February 3 to March 1 to carry out disease prevention measures. The management of Chinese nationals working in the province, or local residents working in China who returned home for the Lunar New Year has also been tightened, including putting them under quarantine.

The provincial police have imposed administrative fines worth a total 15.5 million VND on three individuals and issued warnings on two individuals for posting false information on the Covid-19 epidemic on social media. Thanks to the timely intervention of the police, the posting or sharing of fake information on the epidemic on social media in the province has stopped.

The market management force has coordinated with relevant agencies and local administrations to hold educational campaigns targeting individuals, households and businesses engaged in the trading of medical equipment and materials, resulting in 151 shops and businesses signing commitments to sell goods of good quality, clear origin and right prices. During one month since the outbreak of Covid-19, the market management force has not detected the sale of face masks at inflated price in the province.

With the timely involvement of all-level Party committees, administrations, sectors and agencies in both direction and implementation work, all issues connected to the Covid-19 epidemic that arose in Hoa Binh have been settled effectively, winning public applause. /.
