The veteran, Mr. Bui Van Dung (the rightmost), from Doi
village, Vu Binh commune (Lac Son) is excited to have a nice and clean new
house.
In order to effectively build the fund of "The Gratitude of
Teammate” and to create a consensus among the veteran members, right from the
beginning of the year, the Veterans’ Association of the district has
implemented plans to each level of the Association, mobilizing each member to
contribute 25,000 dongs. They have classified, reviewed and evaluated the poor
households. The have directly gone to grassroots level to verify, avoiding the
wrong support and missing the disadvantaged members.
In the case of being
supported, each household would receive 25 million VND, the missing money would
be contributed by the family or mobilized from the relatives. They actively
propagated the Association's facilities having the supported veteran members to
build houses with the help of working days and the house foundation. They
selected the practical gifts for the families when handing over and
inaugurating a new house”.
In addition to mobilizing the fund of "The Gratitude of
Teammate” from the officials and veteran members, in 2019, the district’s
Veterans’ Association cooperated with the Veterans’ Entrepreneur Association of
Lac Son district and the Soldiers’ Association protecting the ancient Citadel of Quang Tri in 1972 to
hand over 3 houses with a total supported fund of 100 million VND.
Due to the effects of Covid-19 epidemic, in the first months
of the year, the process of construction and handover of the houses was behind
schedule. Currently, there are more than 10 veteran households still having
difficulty in housing, the poverty rate is estimated at 11% in the whole

the propaganda and closely coordinate with the associations, the unions to
direct the grassroots Associations to urgently carry out the remaining works,
ensuring the completion of the houses of "The Gratitude of Teammate” according
to the set number and target.

houses and stabilize their life before the Lunar New Year 2021. Thereby, the
