(HBO) – Currently, Hoa Binh has removed all COVID-19 checkpoints, and allowed in-person dining at all restaurants. In order to safely and flexibly adapt to and effectively control the pandemic in the new normal situation in line with the Government’s Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated October 11, 2021, the city has defined that vaccination and the 5K message are the fundamental solutions. Therefore, the city has actively sped up vaccination among local residents in a safe manner.

Right from the early morning on the appointed
date, residents in Thinh Lang ward came to the local health care station for
vaccination. Dinh Thi Thanh, a resident from Group 11 said: "I was informed by
authorities in my residential area on the vaccination date, so I am going to
get the vaccine without any hesitation.”
Nguyen Thi Su, head of the health care station
of Thinh Lang ward, said that every day, the station conducts communications on
COVID-19 situation and prevention and control activities, including the need of
vaccination through the local loudspeaker system, spreading the message of "the
best vaccine is the first vaccine in place”. Thanks to the communications
activities, the awareness of local residents has been raised, she said. Su
added that as of October 26, more than 90 percent of local residents had received
their first COVID-19 vaccine shots. The vaccination procedure has been
conducted in line with the regulations with ensured progress and safety.
In Tan Thinh ward, vaccination activities have
been implemented with the support of public servants and youngsters who help
regulate people coming for vaccination and give them guidance on
pre-vaccination check-ups, vaccination and post-vaccination health supervision.
The elderly and those with underlying health
conditions have also received the vaccine in a safe manner. Nguyen Xuan Lan, an
elderly man from Group 9, said that he was delighted to get a COVID-19 vaccine
shot, adding that he was carefully instructed and assisted throughout the
vaccination process.
Nguyen Huu Luyen, Vice Chairman of the People’s
Committee of Hoa Binh city, said that in order to speed up the progress of
vaccination, the city has mobilised the engagement of the whole political
system, while strengthening communications and optimising all resources for the
work.
Luyen said that the campaign saw the involvement
of retired medical workers, private clinic facilities, school medical staff,
members of Youth Union, militiamen, prestigious people in the community, heads
of villages, volunteer, among others. Meanwhile, vaccination facilities have
been set up with the capacity to receive 200-500 people each day.
According to head of the Health Care Division of
the city Bui Quoc Vuong, so far, 87 percent of local residents have received
first COVID-19 shots, and 30.5 percent have been fully vaccinated.
Vuong said that until the end of November, the
city needs about 54,000 additional COVID-19 vaccine doses to give second shots
to people. The city will make full use of other vaccine sources for the work.
Hoa Binh city is also making revision on about 32,000 children aging from 3-17
years old so as to give them COVID-19 vaccine as soon as all conditions is
met./.
