(HBO) - After completing the National Target Program on building a new rural area, Xam Khoe commune (Mai Chau) implemented the pilot construction of a model of the new residential area in Buoc hamlet in early 2020. With the aim of improving the quality of rural areas, the Party Committee, the local authorities and People in Buoc hamlet have made great effort to implement many solutions to improve the income and the cultural life, maintaining the stability in the locality, promoting the local socio-economic development.
The management board of Buoc hamlet, Xam Khoe commune (Mai Chau) have been propagating so that the people are responding to building a model new rural residential area.
The impression when coming back to Buoc hamlet is the fresh air, the clean village road and the alley and everyone is excited, feeling the change of the appearance of the new rural area. The head of Buoc village, Mr. Luong Van Tran says: "After having been selected to be the site for building a model of the new residential area, the management board of the village held a meeting and we discussed with high consensus and quickly deployed the plan to each officer, each party member, and the people. We have identified the shortcomings and limitations in order to jointly come up with solutions to overcome, consolidate and improve the quality of the new rural areas. In which, the propaganda has been identified as a key task, contributing to raising the people's awareness and responsibility in building a model of the rural residential area”.
During the implementation of the model in Buoc hamlet, the hamlet’s management board has received the consensus and enthusiastic response from the people. Through community meetings and activities, the hamlet has been implementing the specific and practical programs, plans and activities. The propaganda has been strengthened through the the loudspeaker system, promoting the role of the hamlet’s elders, leaders and the reputable people in the community... In order to concretize with the practical activities, the hamlet’s management board has been collecting gatherings and waste, environmental sanitation; mobilizing the people to contribute working days and land to expand the rural roads; promoting the cultural, artistic and sports activities, contributing to improving the physical and mental health and repelling social evils.
Mr. Ha Van Thanh from Buoc hamlet says: "Being aware of the significance of implementing the construction of a model of the new residential area, contributing to improving the quality of life and the face of the countryside, my family members and I all have well complied with the rules implemented by the hamlet’s management board, and we have enthusiastically participated in the activities and movements launched by the locality. Up to now, the quality of the criteria in the construction of the new rural area has been raised, the living standards of the people has been improved, the living environment is fresh, and the security has been maintained”.
Along with the participation of the whole political system, the efforts of the People, the model of the new residential area in Buoc hamlet has brought the positive effects. Taking advantage of the available potentials and advantages, there are more than 10 households doing community tourism in the whole hamlet. Per capita income has been estimated at 30 million VND a year, there is only 1 poor household in the whole hamlet, accounting for 0.8%. 100% of the households have been using electricity and hygienic water. The rate of cultured families has reached 97.5%, the hardened inter-field roads have reached 90%. The hamlet has established and maintained the effective operation of eight self-managed groups.
Mr. Ha Lam Phuc, the Vice Chairman of the the People's Committee of Xam Khoe Commune says: "After piloting the construction of a model of the new residential area in Buoc hamlet, the model has been received a positive response from t5he officials, the party members and the people. With the results achieved, the commune will continue replicating and developing the construction of the model of the new rural residential areas in villages and hamlets min the coming time. Thereby, we can improve the quality of the criteria in the rural construction, promoting the socio-economic development, and successfully completing the set tasks and goals”.
