(HBO) – Preparation is underway to complete procedures for the commence of a road project that connects Mong Hoa (Hoa Binh City) with the centre of Kim Boi district, part of the project linking Hoa Binh, Hanoi and Son La highway (Hoa Binh - Moc Chau). The road plays an important role in the socio-economic development of the province in general, contributing to exploiting the potential and advantages of Kim Boi district in particular.

facilitate the district’s socio-economic development.
Kim Boi district has long been famous for its hot mineral water with the best
quality in the world. There are many festivals held in the district such as le
mung com moi (new rice celebration), a cultural practice of local ethnic
minority people to celebrate bumper crops that attract tourists to Kim Boi.
However, Kim Boi has not yet fully exploited its potential due to unfavourable
transportation system.
To meet the demand for future development of the district and the province, the
provincial authority has approved a project that connects Hoa Binh with Hanoi
and Son La Expressway with a total length of about 39 km.
The project is one of the breakthrough solutions which aimed at accelerating
the construction of projects with far-reaching effects to promote investment,
attract labourers and increase income for people as well as local budget,
especially for the two poorest districts but with great potential for tourism
developments in the province namely Kim Boi and Da Bac.
Currently, the Management Board is preparing a feasibility study report and an
environmental impact assessment report of the project. The topographic and traffic
surveys for the project have been completed.
The road project that links Hoa Binh city with Kim Boi district along with Hoa
Lac - Hoa Binh expressway expansion project are the two key projects of the
province in 2020 – 2025 period. They will meet the traffic demand between the
northwest region, Hoa Binh province with Hanoi and other localities in the
region.
During a recent inspection in Kim Boi district, Quach Tat Liem, Vice Chairman
of the Provincial People's Committee asked relevant departments and agencies to
carry out the project on schedule in accordance with their tasks and their
highest responsibility. They were requested to periodically report the
project’s progress so that obstacles to be removed promptly as well as settle
problems arising during its implementation.

These activities provide opportunities for them to improve both their physical and mental health, enabling them to live happily and healthily.
The pilot programme for sending Vietnamese workers to the Republic of Korea (RoK) for seasonal agricultural jobs continues under a collaboration between localities of the two countries, running for five years from January 1, 2022.
Staff of the Red Cross Society of Hoa Binh province were deeply moved by a meaningful and humanitarian act by Mr Vu Huu Lung, 86, in Hoa Binh city, to donate his corneas, which brought hopes to those yearning for the light. Before passing away, Lung left behind a noble wish to donate all of his organs, including his corneas, to help patients suffering from blindness and those in need of organ transplants to revive their lives.
