(HBO) - Belonging to 8X generation, Mr. Luong Van Vinh in Trung Tam hamlet, Trung Thanh commune (Da Bac) has more than 10 years of seniority as the village head. Promoting his youth, dynamism and enthusiasm, he has not only set up a stable economy for his family, but he has also helped the people in the village actively eliminate hunger, reduce poverty to reach a prosperous life.

Mr. Luong Van Vinh, a dynamic young head of the halmet, has actively opened the direction for the economic development for the people in Trung Tam hamlet, Trung Thanh commune (Da Bac).

Trung Tam is a particularly difficult village with 120 households, who are mainly Tay ethnic group. Their main source of income is from farming and husbandry. As the village head, Mr. Vinh has actively propagated and mobilized the households to expand the cultivation area of maize and cassava on the sloping land, applying science and technology in planting and caring to bring higher efficiency. Currently, there are 17 hectares of corn in the whole halmet. Mr. Vinh's family is one of the households with a large maize growing area with nearly 2 hectares. Apart from the costs, he earns a profit of 6 quintals of dry corn seeds worth about 30 million VND each crop.

Due to the difficulty of the roads from the district’s center to the commune and to the hamlet, there are many obstacles in the the supply of seeds and fertilizers to the farmers, especially the suitable price and materials. Mr. Vinh traveled to the district, finding a reputable agent to supply seeds and fertilizers with the quality assurance, then connect and transport to the village to serve the people. Gradually, in order to be more active, he took up the service of supplying fertilizers. In addition to serving the people in the hamlet, his service point also meets the needs of the people in the neighboring villages with the equal price or slightly higher than the price in the lowland market. He has also created the favorable conditions to support many poor households by lending them the goods and they pay for them until the end of the harvest.

In 2021, Hoa Binh Agricultural Cooperative cooperated with a number of hamlets to deploy a model of growing green Boehmeria nivera. Mr. Vinh and the members of the Village Management Board have paid great attention to, hoping that the transformation of the crop structure will change people's thinking about the agricultural economic development more. Mr. Vinh says: Although the price this year is stable and higher than that of the previous crop, growing cassava and corn only helps households to have enough to eat, not many households have a good life. With the new plant, the green Boehmeria nivera, if the transformation is successful, the cultivation value per hectare will be 5-10 times higher than that of other traditional crops.

Wishing to contribute to changing the lives of people in difficult areas, Mr. Vinh has pioneered to bring the Boehmeria nivera for trial planting on an area of 1.5 hectares. With a small investment in the intensive farming, without having to use herbicides like in corn cultivation, his family's area of Boehmeria nivera has grown well, reaching an average income of nearly 130 million VND/ha. During the days of harvesting and preliminary processing, a lot of the people in the village came to help and witnessed Seeing the effect, dozens of the households have registered to participate in the implementation of the model.

Together with the Village Management Board, Mr. Vinh has also played an important role in propagating and mobilizing the people to well implement the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, building the cultural residential area. The hamlet has won the title of the typical cultural village for many years, the annual rate of cultural households is over 80%. There is no one giving birth to a third child in the halmet, maintaining the area without social evils.
