(HBO) – A scholarship programme named "Hoa binh thap sang uoc mo” (Hoa Binh lights up dreams) has been launched in Hoa Binh province in 2022 as part of efforts to encourage the studious spirit of local students, giving them assistance to pursue study.

 


Representatives of the study promotion association of Yen Thuy district present gifts to students from welfare beneficiary families in Bao Hieu commune.

At a recent conference to review the implementation of study and talent encouragementprogrammes and the buildingof alearning society in the 2018 – 2021 period, representatives from the provincial study promotion association and the provincial Department of Education and Training signed a cooperation programme to implement the scholarship programme in the 2022 – 2026 period.

Accordingly, the two agencies will promote joint actions of the community to implement the meaningful programme.

According to chairwoman of the provincial study promotion association Nguyen Thi Oanh, the programme targets students from poor households who show good academic performance.

This scholarship fund also gives priority to supporting teachers and employees with difficult circumstances working in the education sector, who are determined to complete their tasks.

As scheduled, scholarships will be awarded every September; sourced from the provincial study encouragement fund, and donations by agencies, organizations and donors.

During 2016 – 2021, the study promotion associations at all levels in Hoa Binh worked hard to call for donations from organisations, enterprises and individuals, mobilising 123 billion VND. A total of 46,197 scholarships and 342,376 gift packages were presented to local students with difficult circumstances in the period.

Meanwhile, over 105.8 billion VND was channeled into the study encouragement fund, which focused on supporting education establishments in the locality, significantly contributing to the locality’s education and training cause./.
