(HBO) - Over the past years, the Party organisation of Phu Nghia commune has always been appreciated by the Lac Thuy district Party Committee for its leadership in carrying out political tasks in the locality. Currently, the commune Party organisation is focusing all resources on the building of model new-style rural areas.

The commune Party organisations has 21 cells with 678 members. It has strictly and flexibly followed the leadership and direction of the district Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; well promoted solidarity, consensus, unanimity, and high determination of officials, party members and local people to overcome difficulties and challenges; strived to complete the set goals and tasks; and achieved positive results. Notably, the commune has mobilised the participation of the political system and promoted the core role of local people in the implementation of the new-style rural area building programme. In 2020, the commune was recognised as having met the advanced new rural standards. 

To meet the model new rural area standards, Phu Nghia has well encouraged locals to actively participate in building model gardens and flower-lined roads, and mobilised resources to complete and upgrade infrastructure. 

Thanks to these efforts, the commune gets a facelift, technical infrastructure has been concertedly invested in; the fields of education and training, health care, and cultural life building at the grassroots level received due attention; the spiritual and material lives of locals improve gradually; and the poverty rate brought down to 8.04%. 

Bui Thi Huyen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the commune Party Committee, said that in order to complete the goal of successfully building a model new-style rural commune in 2022, the commune Party Committee and People's Committee have assigned specific tasks to officials, civil servants, party members, and mass organisations, in which the role of heads of Party committees, authorities and mass organisations is promoted. Thanks to the effective dissemination work, officials, party members and people are well aware of their roles, responsibilities and benefits in developing model new-style rural area criteria. To date, the commune has completed two out of the four criteria.
