(HBO) - The Good Neighbours International (GNI), a non-governmental organisation, has inaugurated and handed over a friendly library worth over 600 million VND to Thai Thinh semi-boarding school for ethnic students in Hoa Binh city, the northern province of Hoa Binh.

Students of Thai Thinh semi-boarding school experience the friendly library.

GNI started a project to support education development in Hoa Binh city’s Thai Binh, Thinh Lang, Dan Chu and Thong Nhat communes in 2010. In 2019, two more communes were involved in the project, which also covers community development in the city.

GNI’s activities include child protection, livelihood development; environment, health, and humanitarian aid. Since 2019, GNI has helped Hoa Binh city build and renovate libraries for Hoa Binh; Yen Mong, Thinh Lang and Thai Binh primary and secondary schools.

The libraries have contributed to develop reading habit and improve students’ knowledge. With over 1,000 book titles, GNI expects the students will have a chance to better their understanding and knowledge./.
