(HBO) - Over the past time, the trade union of HoaBinh province’s education sector has carried out many practical activities targeting its members. With the theme of "Stay united and strive to overcome difficulties; innovate, consolidate and improve the quality of education and training activities" for the 2022 - 2023 academic year, the union focuses on organising activities to better protect the legitimate rights and interests of officials, teachers and employees.

Bui Duc Ngoc, Chairman of the Trade Union of the provincial
education sector, said that in the 2021 – 2022 school year, due to the COVID-19
pandemic, some activities of the union were not implemented as planned, but in
general, the union made efforts to perform its function of representing,
protecting legitimate rights and interests, and taking care of the lives of
officials, teachers and employees. Specifically, in this school year, the Trade
Union gave Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts to 90 officials, teachers and employees
living in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 48.5 million VND
(2,027 USD), while the grassroots unions gave 119 gifts totalling 37.2 million
VND.

in remote and disadvantaged areas continued to be implemented effectively,
especially the programme to provide computers and telecommunications services
for students launched by the Government.
In the 2022 – 2023 academic year, the Executive Board of the sector's
Trade Union continues to innovate the direction and management of trade union
activities in accordance with the new situation, promote the role of the union
head in representing employees to participate in the process of commenting and
building, and promulgating internal regulations to create a democratic,
civilised, cultural and safe working environment. It also actively organises
and participates in humanitarian activities, charity events and campaigns to
assist colleagues, teachers, employees and the community in unexpected cases
such as natural disasters, storms, floods and epidemics; and at the same time
maintain the implementation of emulation movements, campaigns and emulation and
commendation activities in a practical and effective direction.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025. The project, funded by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), aims to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students. The event saw the attendance of representatives from the TFCF and 26 beneficiary schools.
