(HBO) - On January 7, in Cao Son commune (Da Bac), the Provincial People's Committee and the Humanitarian Television Center coordinated to organize the program "The People’s Tet in 2023”. From the Central side, there was the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross; Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, the Deputy General Director, the Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Television; the representatives of a number of central committees, ministries and branches. From the provincial side, there was the attendance of Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Phuong, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Bui Tien Luc, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province; Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Head of the Local Organizing Committee.
Mr.
Bui Duc Hinh, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee,
the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and the leaders of Vietnam Red
Cross were giving the sets of Tet gifts to the people in Cao Son commune (Da
Bac).
With the support from the
businesses and the benefactors inside and outside the province, the program has
given 1,500 sets of gifts to the poor and disadvantaged families, and the
families under the prefferential policies. In which, at the "Humanitarian
Market”, 1,000 sets of gifts worth 300 thousand VND each, including lucky
money, rice, confectionery and necessities have been given to the people. The
delegates have given 100 sets of gifts worth 1.5 million VND each to the
disadvantaged families under the prefferential policies, 380 gifts worth 1
million VND each to the poor households, 20 savings books worth 5 million VND
each to the students. The doctors and nurses of Viet Xo Friendship Hospital
have given free medical examination and medicine to over 500 people. The total
value of the program's gifts is about 3 billion VND.
Within the framework of the
program, there were also joyful and traditional Tet activities such as the
contest of wrapping Chung cakes, the cultural exchange, the year-end meals,
which has created an exciting atmosphere.
Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, the Vice
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Head of the Organizing
Committee of the program has affirmed that this is a meaningful, practical,
deeply humane activity, showing sharing with the poor and the people in
difficult circumstances, the families under the prefferential policies through
the material and spiritual sets of gifts in the atmosphere welcoming the new
spring. Thereby, it has been encouraging the compatriots to overcome
difficulties and try to build a prosperous and happy life. He has thanked the
businesses and sponsors and wished the Party, the local authorities and the
people a healthy, happy and successful New Year.
Before that, the participants of
the program have offered incense at the historical relic of Giang Seo
Revolutionary War Zone in Cao Son commune.
