(HBO) - The social insurance agency of Hoa Binh province has exerted efforts to bring insurance policies to life.
Social insurance staff provides information about insurance policies for youth union members and young people in Da Bac district.
One of the important solutions contributing to bringing insurance policies to local people is communications. Together with the social insurance sector, localities also pay attention to disseminating policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance. As a result, people's awareness of their rights, obligations and responsibilities when participating in social insurance and health insurance has been raised. In order to achieve high efficiency, every year, the agency develops a specific communication plan, regularly renews contents and forms in association with increasing the number of participants. Through the communication work, people's questions about the insurance regime are also answered promptly.
In the first six months of this year, the province held 422 dissemination campaigns in small groups, and 290 media conferences with nearly 16,000 participants; and used loudspeakers in the communication work.
However, in the period, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance decreased by 0.5%, and voluntary social insurance by 2.7%; and the health insurance coverage rate declined by 0.2% over the same period in 2022.
Nguyen Duy Thuong, head of the Communication Desk under the provincial Social Insurance agency said that in the coming time, the agency will continue to closely coordinate with departments, agencies, mass organsations and local Party committees and authorities to promote the communication work, innovate and diversify contents, forms and methods so that people can easily access all information about social insurance and health insurance.
The provincial social insurance agency signed a programme on coordination in the implementation of laws and policies on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance with several departments, agencies, sectors and mass organisations, including the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. Recently, the two units evaluated results of the implementation of the joint programme for the 2013 - 2023 period and signed a new cooperation programme for the new period.
Nguyen Ngoc Son, the agency’s Director, said that over the past time, the two sectors have closely coordinated in the implementation of the signed contents. The interests of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance participants are handled fully, promptly and properly as prescribed.
With the sector efforts and the engagement of the whole political system, the implementation of policies on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance is expected to make steady progress, contributing to ensuring social security in the province./.
