Teacher Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Principal of Hoang Van Thu high School, Hoa Binh province, in October was honored to receive the 2023 Thai Princess award.
The Thai Princess presented the award to teacher Nguyen Manh Hung.
The award is presented by the Teachers Council, the Ministry of Education of Thailand and the Thai Princess Award Foundation (PMCA) to teachers or educational administrators of Southeast Asian countries.
selection criteria are dedicated teachers or educational administrators with the most outstanding achievements and positive contributions to the local educational development and international integration. Awardees must be directly teaching or managing schools. This year, 11 excellent teachers received this award.
In February 2023, Viet Nam Ministry of Education and Training nominated teacher Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Principal of Hoang Van Thu high School, Hoa Binh province as the only person from Vietnam for the 2023 Princess Maha Chakri award.

Staff of the Red Cross Society of Hoa Binh province were deeply moved by a meaningful and humanitarian act by Mr Vu Huu Lung, 86, in Hoa Binh city, to donate his corneas, which brought hopes to those yearning for the light. Before passing away, Lung left behind a noble wish to donate all of his organs, including his corneas, to help patients suffering from blindness and those in need of organ transplants to revive their lives.
