The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province organised a conference to review its performance in 2023 and the first semester of the 2023 - 2024 school year as well as launch tasks for 2024 and the second semester of the 2023 – 2024 school year. In 2023 and the first semester of the 2023 - 2024 school
year, the province's education and training sector focused on fulfilling
assigned tasks and education quality was maintained.
The primary completion rate of students reached 99.5% while
the percentage of students passing junior and senior high school graduation
examinations amounted to 99.37% and 99.31%, respectively. In the national
competition for excellent high-school students in the 2022-2023 academic year,
local students got 28 prizes.
Hoa Binh has continued to satisfy standards in
universalisation of preschool education for five-year-old children,
universalisation at level 3 for primary education, level 2 for junior high
school education, and completed Phase 2 of the illiteracy eradication
programme.
Discipline and order in education and training
establishments have been strengthened along with the implementation of
solutions to improve the quality of education at all levels. Due attention has
been paid to education for ethnic groups. Facilities and equipment for teaching
and learning have been upgraded, contributing to increasing the rate of schools
meeting national standards.
Addressing the conference, Vice Chairman Chuong lauded the
achievements that the education and training sector obtained in 2023 and the
first semester of the 2023 - 2024 school year.
He suggested that the sector continue to improve the quality
of education, management staff and teachers, renovate teaching methods and exam
forms, and make good preparation for the senior high school graduation exam in
2024. The official also underlined the need to promote digital transformation
and mobilise resources to invest in education and training.
On this occasion, two individuals from the province's
education and training sector were awarded the Prime Minister's certificates of
merit while 14 collectives and 45 individuals received the Ministry of
Education and Training's certificates of merit. The provincial People's
Committee also awarded certificates of merit to some collectives and
individuals in the sector.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025. The project, funded by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), aims to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students. The event saw the attendance of representatives from the TFCF and 26 beneficiary schools.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Committee and the Vietnam Youth Federation chapter of Hoa Binh province organised a programme on March 12 to launch the "Digital Literacy" movement and an online quiz on the resolutions of the Vietnam Youth Federation congresses at all levels, as well as the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
