Bui Van Duong, Principal of Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted, said the exam aims to encourage both teachers and students to enhance their abilities and creativity, contributing to promoting the quality improvement of teaching and learning. It also aims to identify students with talents in specific subjects, thus implementing the goal of nurturing talents for the country. In comparison to the previous academic years, the quality of students in this year's exam is better, with candidates winning awards in all subjects, especially the first prize on history.

In recent years, with the support of provincial authorities, departments, and sectors have applied policies to support students and teams. The rewards for students and teams winning national awards have encouraged teachers and students to continuously strive for remarkable achievements.

In the past three years, the number of prizes increased significantly compared to that of previous years. Specifically, in the 2021 - 2022 and the 2022 – 2023 academic years, local students won 23 and 28 prizes, respectively.

This achievements were attributed to the attention and encouragement from the provincial leaders, the leadership of the provincial Department of Education and Training, parents, and the relentless efforts by teachers and students of Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted, the provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, and the Luong Son High School, especially efforts of heads of the 12 teams and subject teachers.
