On August 24th, a delegation of revolutionary youth from Houaphanh Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, led by Mr. Vongphet Bounmany, the Member of the Provincial Party Committee, the Member of the Central Executive Committee of Lao Revolutionary Youth Union, and the Secretary of the Houaphanh Provincial Youth Union, visited and worked with Hoa Binh Provincial Youth Union.
The youth delegations from the two provinces, Hoa Binh and Houaphanh, took the commemorative photos at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh at Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Tu, the Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the potential, strengths, and the socio-economic development, the situation of the political security and social order in Hoa Binh Province. He also quickly highlighted the key achievements of the provincial Youth Union and the youth movement over the first eight months of 2024. With a tradition of the special solidarity, friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, as well as between Hoa Binh and Houaphanh Provinces, Hoa Binh Provincial Youth Union is confident that in the coming time, the special friendship between the youth of the two provinces will continue to flourish. The youth of each province will serve as the core force in maintaining, preserving, and further strengthening the special relationship that the Parties, the States, the leaders, and the people of both provinces have worked hard to cultivate.
During the working session, Hoa Binh and Houaphanh Provincial Youth Unions exchanged and shared their experiences on youth entrepreneurship, the exemplary socio-economic development models led by youth, and the role of youth in building the Party and political systems in each province.
The delegation from Lao Revolutionary Youth Union of Houaphanh Province visited the historical revolutionary site "The Political Training and Preparatory Congress for the 2nd Party Congress of Lao People's Party’ located within the Provincial Military Command.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Vongphet Bounmany, the Secretary of the Houaphanh Provincial Youth Union, expressed gratitude for the warm and respectful reception. He expressed the excitement over the increasingly strong special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam and between Houaphanh and Hoa Binh Provinces. He also hoped that the youth of both provinces would continue to try, learn from one another, and strengthen their bonds, playing a pivotal role in contributing to the socio-economic development of both countries in general, Houaphanh and Hoa Binh provinces in particular.
On this occasion, the Youth Communist Unions of both provinces agreed to sign and implement several key tasks in the near future.
As part of the working trip, the delegation offered incense at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh at the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, visited the historical revolutionary site "The Political Training and Preparatory Congress for the 2nd Party Congress of Lao People's Party" within the Provincial Military Command, explored tourism and economic development sites at the Hoa Binh Lake tourism area, and learned about the cultural identity of Muong ethnic group at Giang MoVillage (Cao Phong) and the community tourism site in Mai Chau District.
The People's Committee of Hoa Binh province has held a conference to review the implementation of its foreign non-governmental aid mobilisation programme in 2024. Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Chuong attended and delivered a keynote address at the event.
Welcoming the delegation, Toan provided them with an overview of the province's labour and employment situation, emphasising that in recent years, the provincial Party Committee and authorities have paid significant attention to labour export, created favourable conditions and offered policy support to promote the sending of local workers abroad under contracts.
Mutual love and support is a long-standing tradition of Vietnam. In any circumstance, the Vietnamese people always uphold the traditional spirit of staying united and supporting one another to surmount difficulties and adversities. Continuing this fine tradition, in the face of the 1945 famine, President Ho Chi Minh initiated the "Rice jar to save the hungry” movement and took the lead in implementing this campaign by abstaining from one meal each week to save rice for those without food. His example of morality and affection for people has been and is being followed by residents across Hoa Binh province.
