(HBO) - In recent years, the preschools in Mai Chau district have been paid attention to investing in facilities and teaching equipment. The schools have also proactively innovated and improved the quality of nurturing, care, and education, contributing to the children's comprehensive development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu, the Principal of Na Phon Communal Kindergarten shares: "In the school year of 2023 - 2024, the school has 6 class groups with 120 children in 1 main school and 2 satellite ones. Although there are still many difficulties in terms of facilities, especially to meet the standards to re-recognize the school to meet the national level 1 standards, the school always determines that good education and child care is a top priority. Therefore, this school year, the school has encouraged the teachers to have innovative experiences in making utensils, toys, and organizing outdoor activities; educating the children to exercise using new methods, we especially have been focusing on building the educational programs which are suitable for each age, creating a green - clean - beautiful educational environment, ensuring safety and friendliness to help children have the opportunity to experience and explore; paying attention to group education , individual children; regularly coordinating with the family, school and society to create consensus in the care, nurturing and education of children. Thanks to that, the rate of mobilizing children to go to school always achieves high results, and the school's rate of children suffering from malnutrition and stunting has decreased over the years”.
In the school year of 2023 - 2024, in Mai Chau district there are 45 schools, of which there are 23 schools of the preschool level with 205 groups and classes, over 3,700 children. To implement a quality and highly effective preschool education program, the district’s Education Department has directed the schools to develop school education plans based on the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training, and apply it in accordance with the practical conditions of the locality and unit. It is necessary to pay attention to organizing contests with many flexible forms, suitable for each topic during the school year such as the contests "Children love Vietnamese”, "Creating gadgets and toys”, "Children and traffic safety”… Thereby, it has been improving the awareness and capacity in management and implementation for the managers, the teachers, and the staff, and at the same time it has been helping the children exchange, develop language, and develop confidence skills in communication.
Along with that, the district’s Department of Education and Training has also directed the schools to increase the exchange and discussion activities on the topics, the teaching content, observing other’s lessons, drawing experiences, and removing difficulties and obstacles in teaching. It is also important to encourage and create the favorable conditions so that the teachers can regularly and effectively use information technology in training, and teaching, creating positive effects in innovating methods and forms of organizing teaching activities. They have also increased the investment in facilities, equipment, utensils and toys in a multi-functional and modern direction, ensuring facilities for the preschool and general education program for the period of 2019 - 2025.
Along with strengthening facilities and training the teachers, the department has directed the preschools to pay special attention to boarding care. Up to now, 100% of the children have meals at school, 100% of schools ensure hygiene, food safety, physical and mental safety, no poisoning or injuries occurring; 100% of the preschools have used software to calculate the food portions and manage kitchens, and 100% of the children have been weighed, measured and periodically checked for health according to the regulations.
In addition, the district’s Department of Education and Training has also encouraged the schools with large campuses to develop vegetable growing models, which is both as an environment for children to experience and provide clean food for the children. At the same time, it is imporrtant to focus on innovating and improving the efficiency of educational management; Developing a team of officials and teachers to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education, contributing to the solid development of preschool education.
