At R Vietnam Technical Research Company Limited at Bo trai song Da industrial park, Hoa Binh city, nearly 850 workers quickly returned to work for the first orders of the new year. They were excited after days of family reunion. On the development path, the company has spent nearly 2 million USD upgrading the infrastructure system, thus creating the most favorable working environment for workers. At the same time, at the beginning of the year, lucky money worth 300,000 VND (12 USD) was gifted to each person.
Nguyen Long, head of the company’s Trade Union, said that the trade union has coordinated with the enterprise to implement many meaningful programmes and activities to create motivation and a joyful atmosphere for workers on the first days of the new year.
On the first working days after the long-lasting Tet holiday, over 98% of trade union members and employees at enterprises have returned to work. Some employees who have not returned to the enterprise due to personal reasons have promptly reported to their employers. There is no one quitting their jobs or running errands after Tet. In order to create maximum conditions for employees to return to work in accordance with regulations, many enterprises in the province support bus tickets and shuttle buses for employees living far away. On the first day back to work, employers and trade union officials went to the workplaces to visit, encourage, and wish a happy new year to their workers; and give lucky money to them. This is a source of encouragement for union members and labourers on the first days of the new year.
Nguyen Duc Thuan, Permanent Vice President of the provincial Labour Federation, said that in order to quickly stabilise the labour force after the Lunar New Year holiday, the trade unions at all levels have encouraged union members and labourers to return to work on time, and made a list of those living in difficult circumstances to continue to care for and help them feel secure in their work.
