On January 17, after more than two years of construction, the Huong Binh cable car project, connecting Tien Pagoda (Lac Thuy district of Hoa Binh) with Huong Pagoda (My Duc district of Hanoi), was officially inaugurated and became operational. This major project contributes significantly to the socio-economic development of Lac Thuy district and Hoa Binh province as a whole. With a capacity of transporting 10,000 passengers daily and a travel time of around 10 minutes between the two stations, the Huong Binh cable car reduces travel time and makes it easier for locals and tourists to travel between the two major pilgrimage sites. It also eases traffic congestion and enhances cultural, commercial, service, and tourism development across Hoa Binh, Hanoi, Ha Nam, and neighbouring regions.

Along with the Huong Binh cable car, Thai Binh Duong Group officially launched the Huong Binh Valley project in Phu Nghia commune of Lac Thuy district. This success lays a solid foundation for the company to continue developing the Huong Binh Valley project, aiming to create a distinctive complex of tourism sites, resorts, and spiritual structures. Land clearance for this project is progressing rapidly, with the goal of put it into operation as soon as possible.

In the early days of 2025, the provincial People's Committee, in coordination with Hoa Phu-Hoa Binh Co. Ltd, launched the Nhuan Trach Industrial Park project in Luong Son, with a total investment of 2.38 trillion VND. This industrial park will serve as a model multi-sector hub of the province, offering a "destination for success" for both domestic and international investors. Hoa Phu-Hoa Binh Co. Ltd is committed to building green, clean, and environmentally friendly infrastructure. Once operational, the IP will create between 15,000 and 30,000 direct jobs, and about 10,000 indirect jobs through trade, services, and related sectors for the local community and neighbouring provinces.

The province's index of industrial production also showed positive growth, rising by 4.44% from December 2024 and 2.82% compared to the same period last year. Retail sales and service revenue continued their upward trajectory. Total retail sales were estimated at 1.863 trillion VND, a 17.48% increase compared to the previous year. Specific product categories saw notable growth, including foodstuffs (up 2.23%) and household goods (up 2.09%). Wholesale and retail sales of goods in January were estimated at 2.35 trillion VND, up 15.41% year-on-year, with petroleum increasing by 0.57%.
