Vietnamese and international medical and pharmaceutical products are on display at the Medi-Pharm Danang 2018 international exhibition which opened in the central city of Da Nang on July 18.

The exhibition was jointly organised by the Vietnam Medical Equipment Association, the Da Nang Trade Promotion Agency, and the Vietnam Association of Preventive Medicine.

The exhibition features more than 250 booths of 150 domestic and international enterprises showcasing products and services of the health sector, including: medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, hospital equipment, dentistry, ophthalmology, technical support equipment, healthcare products, chemicals, laboratory analytical equipment, among others.

The first international medical exhibition to be held in Da Nang is expected to provide opportunities for domestic and international companies to introduce and promote their products, as well as seek opportunities to open up the market, which will help to improve the efficiency of medical examinations, treatments and services in the central region.

On the sidelines of the event, there will be seminars on pharmaceuticals and the medical equipment market as well as social activities such as blood donations, and counselling on and dissemination of information on cancer, cardiovascular, blood pressure, diabetes, etc.

On the occasion, the organisers of the event also presented 100 household medicine cabinets to needy households in remote and far-flung areas.

The exhibition will run until July 21.
