(HBO) - The Young Entrepreneurs’ Association of the northwestern province of Hoa Binh held a conference on March 27 to launch activities for this year.
The association’s current membership is 51.
In 2018, its activities greatly contributed to the State budget collection with
dozens of billions of VND, while creating jobs for more than 5,000 locals.
Members of the association proactively
participated in charitable and social welfare activities, including those to
build two houses for needy families and children’s playground. They also
organised programmes celebrating traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday for
the poor, along with giving over 100 gift sets to policy beneficiaries,
disadvantaged families, local youths and workers, and people with disabilities.

In the previous year, 10 members with
outstanding achievements in the work of the association and campaigns for young
entrepreneurs were awarded with certificates of merit from the central-level
Association of Young Entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, 10 member businesses received
certificates from the provincial association and one individual and a firm won
a prize of young outstanding start-up of the central-level association.
Furthermore, two local businesses were
among the 200 firms winning the Gold Star Award. Another member received
certificate of the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee for contributions
during 2018 winter and 2019 spring voluntary programmes. Additionally, one
member won first prize in a contest on creative start-up ideas of Hoa Binh’s
youths which was held for the first time.
In 2019, the provincial Young Entrepreneurs’
Association will continue regular charity and social welfare events. It will
join hands with partners to organise a forum on youth’s start-ups as well as
the second contest on creative start-up ideas of Hoa Binh’s youths.
Since the beginning of this year, under the direction of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Sub-Department of Agricultural, Forestry, and Fishery Product Quality Management has strengthened the integration of the professional activities to promote and guide the organizations and individuals in the production and trading of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products to comply with the legal regulations regarding the use of chemicals, pesticides and veterinary medicines in crop cultivation, livestock farming and aquaculture. They also provide guidance to processing and manufacturing establishments on keeping the records to trace the product origins and using food additives from the approved list according to the regulations.
