(HBO) - The People's Committee of the province has just issued the Decision No. 839/QD-UBND dated on April 22, 2019 on approving the explanations and presiding over the project of the new kind of cooperatives, linking the production and the consumption of fruit trees by chain of value to ensure the food safety in Cao Phong, Lac Thuy, Kim Boi districts in 2018 - 2019.
Accordingly, The People's Committee of the province has decided on the implementation time of the project from December 2018 to December 2020 with the total budget of over 2,568 million VND. It includes 2,040 million VND from the budget for the program of the new rural area’s construction in the period of 2018 - 2020, the rest is from the reciprocal capital of the cooperatives registering to implement the project coordinately.
Specifically, three cooperatives will take part and directly benefit from the project. They include Manh Khoa Cooperative (Cao Phong), Son Thuy Agricultural Service Cooperative (Kim Boi), Duong Nam Agricultural-Forestry Service Cooperative ( Lac Thuy). These cooperatives will be assisted in building new models of cooperatives, creating the links of the value chain from the production to the product consumption. On the total scale of 54 ha, the fruit trees of the cooperatives will be produced according to VietGAP process to ensure the productivity, the quality and the product value. Once being launched to the market, they will be applied the smart electronic stamp system to access the product origin, creating a premise for branding for the products.
It is expected that after the first 2 years (2019-2020) of the implementation of the three pilot models, the project will be replicated in the province. The project is invested by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the implementation is done by the Provincial Cooperative Alliance.
