(HBO) – Last year, Lac Thuy district recorded outstanding achievements in implementing strategic breakthroughs in line with the resolution adopted at the 25th Party Congress of the district Party organisation for the tenure 2020-2025. The district has utilised resources for socio-economic infrastructure development in tandem with new-style rural area building.

The construction of the bridge spanning Boi River of the project on building a bypass around the money printing factory – a historical relic site in Phu Nghia commune – to Thong Nhat commune, is being accelerated.

Notably, work is being accelerated on a project on building a bypass around the money printing factory – a historical relic site in Phu Nghia commune – to Thong Nhat commune, which has total investment amounting to 110 billion VND.

The bypass will complete the transport network among Phu Nghia, Thong Nhat, Hung Thi, An Binh, Khoan Du and adjacent areas, helping to spur local socio-economic development and ensure national defence and security in the region.

The district has completed the new-style rural area planning of communes, and the master plan of Chi Ne town.

It has also stepped up communication work to raise public awareness of their role and responsibility for contributing to socio-economic infrastructure development.

Many major routes have been built and upgraded, with 9.2 km of asphalted and concreted roads and total investment of over 201.9 billion VND. The locality has also constructed 22 technical infrastructure works with a total cost of 133.8 billion VND. Its urbanisation rate is estimated at 25.45 percent.

The district has worked to attract more investments in industrial clusters. Last year, it drew five projects to local industrial clusters, bringing the total number of projects to 16 and investment capital to over 1.1 trillion VND.

Apart from economic infrastructure, Lac Thuy has paid due attention to social infrastructure development. Investment continued to be poured into education and training, as reflected through the increasing number of schools and classrooms, and upgraded infrastructure. It counts 575 classrooms and 28 schools that meet national standards.

Secretary of the district Party Committee Bui Trung Kien said Lac Thuy will continue with the planning of Chi Ne and Ba Hang Doi towns, while upgrading routes that would support socio-economic development in key areas, including those linking districts and communes.

The locality will make efforts to improve the quality of transport planning and focus resources on major and important projects, he said, adding that attention will be paid to transport infrastructure in disadvantaged areas.

Lac Thuy plans to gradually form urban systems with synchronous, modern and environmentally friendly infrastructure, and strives to raise the quality of urban planning, ensuring sustainable development./.
