(HBO) – Thanks to efforts in the direction and governance of the Party committees and authorities and the active participation of relevant agencies in supporting and removing difficulties for production and business and assisting taxpayers, Hoa Binh province's state budget revenue reached 5.6 trillion VND (245.2 million USD) in 2021, equal to 129 percent of the Government's estimate, up 10 percent compared to the target set by the Provincial People's Council resolution, and equal to 136 percent of that in 2020. This result ended a long time that the province did not meet the target of budget revenue.

This year, the province's state budget revenue estimate allocated by the Prime Minister is 3.89 trillion VND, and by the provincial People's Council 6.41 trillion VND. Of the total, import and export revenue allocated by the Government and the provincial People's Council is 315 billion VND; and domestic revenue allocated by the Government 3.58 trillion VND, and by the provincial People's Council 6.09 trillion VND, including revenue from taxes and fees (excluding land use levy) being 2.38 trillion VND and 2.99 trillion VND, respectively, and collection from land use levy being 1.2 trillion VND and 3.1 trillion VND, respectively.

The implementation of the state budget collection task is considered to be difficult as the COVID-19 pandemic has not shown any signs of cooling down, greatly affecting production and business activities, financial capacity and the observance of state budget obligation of taxpayers. However, according to Deputy Director of the provincial Tax Department Nguyen Anh Tuan, the department has determined that one of the key tasks is to support taxpayers to quickly restore production and business, and strengthen the management of budget collection right from the first month and first quarter of this year, with focus on increasing the quality of inspection and examination to prevent revenue loss, smuggling, trade fraud, and reduce tax debt.

According to the Steering Committee on the collection and payment to the provincial state budget, by the end of February, state budget revenue in the locality is estimated at 1.09 trillion VND, equal to 17.1 percent of the yearly estimate assigned by the provincial People's Council. This result shows that the work in the first two months of the year achieved positive growth, posting a year-on-year rise of nearly 60 percent./.
