(HBO) - The People's Committee of Hoa Binh province held a conference to promote supply and demand and popularise its products in Hai Phong city on December 12 afternoon.
Attending the event were Nguyen Ngoc Bao, President of the
Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh
provincial People's Committee, head of the provincial Steering Committee for
Collective Economic Development; Le Anh Quan, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong
People's Committee, head of themunicipal Steering Committee for Collective Economic Development; and
leaders of several departments, sectors and localities, as well as cooperative
unions of Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Hanoi, and Hai
Phong.

Over the recent years, Hoa Binh has seen positive results in
the cultivation and sale of farm produce, with its products affirming their
position in the market. The province has 123 products that meet provincial OCOP
(One Commune One Product) standards, including 66 products of 57 cooperatives
and cooperative clusters. In 2022, it is estimated that about 1,057 tonnes of
local agricultural products are exported such as Son Thuy longan to the EU
market; Tan Lac red pomelo to the UK; sugarcane to the Republic of Korea, the
US, and the European Union; Yen Thuy’s Dien pomelo to the UK; and bamboo shoots
to Japan.
At the conference, there were 12 booths introducing typical
products, 3- and 4-star OCOP products of Hoa Binh province such as chicken, orange,
pomelo, fish, and honey.

Enterprises and cooperatives sign memoranda of
understanding on cooperation in selling products.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Su emphasised that the
conference was an opportunity for the province to promote its typical products
to a large number of consumers in Hai Phong city and surrounding localities.
This was also a forum for businesses outside the province to access, link,
cooperate in product consumption, connect services with cooperatives of Hoa
Binh.
The province commits to creating all favourable conditions
for enterprises to cooperate, and do long-term business and investment in the
locality, he affirmed./.
