In 2022, Kim Boi district established eight new cooperatives and dissolved four inefficient ones. Currently, the district has 47 active cooperatives, three with over 500 members. Of this, 30 are agricultural and forestry units, and 17 are non-agricultural.

According to statistics, there are 15 products that meet the three-star One Commune-One Product (OCOP) standard in cultivation and husbandry in the district's cooperatives. Cooperatives have actively approached information technology, changed business methods, and sold typical products and local specialties. They have optimised social networks to promote, introduce, find markets for products and services while mobilising all resources to maintain and develop production and business.

In order for the products to win favour from consumers, the district has encouraged cooperatives to strictly follow production process, ensure safety and hygiene, and improve quality while constantly innovating, improving product designs, traceability, branding, and developing local key product brands.
Tran Tuan Son, Vice Chairman of Kim Boi District People's Committee, said that in the coming time when the road between Hoa Binh and Hanoi and the Son La expressway are completed, together with the existing 12B Hoa Binh provincial road, the connectivity will facilitate trade and cooperation between cooperatives in the area and vicinities.

Seizing that opportunity, the district's economic establishments are focusing on expanding production area, improving cooperation capacity with enterprises, and forming production chains which are in line with consumption and processing.

The district People's Committee has directed branches and units to organise training courses to improve expertise of cooperatives while expanding the market on the e-commerce platform.

According to experts, more timely and appropriate policies and mechanisms to help cooperative operate effectively are also needed to bolster the locality’s economy./.
