The spring book fair at Hanoi’s Book Street earned more than 4 billion VND (177,200 USD) from selling some 80,000 books from February 18 (the third day of the Lunar New Year 2018) to 25.

According to the city’s Department of Information and
Communication, Kim Dong Publishing House recorded the highest revenue of more
than 400 million VND (17,720 USD), followed by Thai Ha and Nha Nam stock
companies.
The most attractive titles to readers featured the fourth industrial
revolution,
Vietnam’s
history through pictures,
Hanoi’s
traditional dishes and Tet celebrations.
Hanoi’s first
Book Street debuted
on May 1 at December 19 Street of Hoan Kiem district, aiming to promote reading
culture.
The street features 16 booths with easy access for children and people with
disabilities, along with public computers for readers to search for
information, free wifi and water.
It is open to the public from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm every day.
