(HBO) - All students of Grade 9 and Grade 12 across Hoa Binh province on April 27 returned to schools after a long COVID-19 break.

Director of the provincial Department of Education and Training Bui Thi Kim
Tuyen said before allowing students to go back to school, the department
proposed the provincial People's Committee issue a decision on adjusting the
school time for the 2019-2020 academic year for all educational levels in the
locality.
In particular, to ensure the safety of officials, teachers, and students, the
education and training sector has continuously directed schools to seriously
implement the directives of the government and the province on disease
prevention and control, as well as avoid negligence.
The sector has devised appropriate solutions to cope with any circumstances.
Schools were asked to map out plans for providing additional knowledge for 9th
and 12th graders. Previously, the department had directed schools to be
flexible, depending on their practical requirements to offer lessons via the
internet and television for these students.
Nguyen Tien Duc, Vice Principal of Hoang Van Thu High School for Gifted
Students, said most of the students were excited to come back school and they
are aware of taking preventive measures such as wearing face masks on the way
to school and during class.
Meanwhile, Vice Principal of Song Da Secondary School Vu Manh Ha said all Grade
9 students have returned to school with eagerness and high vigilance over the
disease. All teachers and students have to wear face masks when at school.
Nguyen Mai Anh, a 9th grader of Song Da Secondary School, shared that she was
very happy to come back school, adding that students still take preventive
measures as guided by teachers./.
With just over a month left until the school summer break, students are eagerly anticipating a period of rest and fun after a year of academic pressure. To provide a healthy environment for the physical development, in addition to the classes that foster talents and enhance the academic knowledge, sports and physical activities continue to attract a large number of children and teenagers.
