(HBO) – Legal violations regarding food safety remain complicated with food of ambiguous origin and substandard quality still available on the market, hurting consumers’ health. On the other hand, it is hard for safe produce to compete in terms of prices and consumers find it difficult to distinguish between safe and unsafe products, leading to their distrust in the use of food in general, and agro-forestry-fisheries products in particular.

Hoa Binh clean food supplies products to consumers in the provincial
connectivity chain.
In the late September, with the support of the
provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Hoa Binh clean
food store was officially inaugurated, which partly relieved "thirst for clean
food” of consumers, particularly those in Hoa Binh city. The store is open on
weekdays at No.812,
Cu Chinh Lan
street, Phuong Lam ward. From now on, consumers
have a chance to choose a safe food supply destination to put their trust in. Bach
Thi Hang from group 6, Phuong Lam ward said:”I and other consumers have looked
forward to the opening of this store. We have trust when buying quality
products of clear origin”.
Lying in the downtown, the store attracts
numerous consumers, amounting to hundreds each day. It is like a small market
where they could find a diversity of food necessities to their families.
Particularly, all products are manufactured under the province’s clean food
chain and a part of them comes from safe manufacturing areas under VietGAP
standards in nearby provinces. Fresh food include Da river fish from Hai Dang
company, wild boar from Phuong Huyen company, Huong Nhuong hill chickens and chicken
eggs from Lac Son district, Muong Chieng goat from Da Bac district, Luong Son

Thanh Ha township, Lac Thuy district, Moc Chau safe vegetables from Son La
province, Que Lam organic rice from Nam Dinh province. In order to satisfy
consumers, the store also offers free home delivery service and improves staff’s
services.
Nguyen Huu Tai, head of the provincial Agency
for Agro-forestry-fisheries Quality Management said the birth of the Hoa Binh
clean food store is important to boosting trade in local
agro-forestry-fisheries, contributing to protecting local health and warding
off dirty food. It is hoped that with the efforts of the provincial agriculture
and rural development sector and individuals’ dedication to public health, the
province will see the appearance of more clean food stores, thus creating a
driving force for safe and sustainable production./.
