The heart connection club in Hoa Binh city has launched numerous humanitarian and charitable activities, bringing joy and happiness to the poor and vulnerable in the community.


The club prepares free meals for impoverished patients under treatment at the provincial General Hospital.

Established on April 20, 2023, with a mere 50 members, the club, operating under the Red Cross Society's regulations, initially gathered basic supplies like fish sauce, rice, used clothing, and books. Today, it has grown to more than 300 members, attracting contributions ranging from everyday goods to financial donations of up to hundreds of millions of VND. Its total activity value in the first year alone surpassed an astonishing 4 billion VND (166,000 USD).

At the helm of Le Thi Thanh, the club conducts weekly and monthly initiatives, including distributing free meals at medical facilities, providing learning materials for underprivileged students, covering medical expenses for poor patients, and building charitable homes.

Since its inception, the club has distributed over 200 free meals and porridge weekly at medical facilities, offered gifts to disadvantaged students and families during the new school year, holidays, and Tet, held Children's Day celebrations for children with cerebral palsy and students from disadvantaged areas, valued at 120 million VND; assisted more than 100 cases in need, including accidents, emergencies, severe illnesses, natural disasters, and fires, with a total value of 850 million VND; and built houses for poor households in Lac Son and Mai Chau districts, totaling 200 million VND.

The club also collaborates with neighboring Red Cross chapters and charitable clubs to maximise its impact. Notable joint efforts include distributing 200 gift packages, including essentials and warm clothing, to residents in Sinh Long commune, Na Hang district, Tuyen Quang province, valued at 130 million VND; partnering with the Vietnam PTS JSC to provide 300 free meals monthly and gifts for children under treatment at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and donating 200 million VND to support the construction of a rural bridge in Kham Tien commune, U Minh district, Ca Mau province.

In the first half of 2024 alone, its humanitarian activities exceeded 1.5 billion VND in value.
