(HBO) – The Provincial Tourism Association has held a conference to review the tasks in 2017 and deploy the duties in 2018.

In 2017, the Tourism Association already
launched positive activities to mobilize members and enterprises to increase
investment to exploit the potential advantages of the province to build and
strengthen tourism products, train and foster professional skills to improve
service quality; connect to launch and promote tourism to attract tourists,
contributing to promoting the provincial tourism. Enterprises have invested in
developing many new products in attractive tourist areas such as tourist
destinations in Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh city and Hoa Binh Lake area to
attract many visitors coming there. During the year, the whole province
welcomed nearly 2.5 million visitors, increasing by 9.8% compared to the same
period, of which the number of international visitors was 260,730 visitors, the
number of domestic visitors was over 2.2 million visitors; total revenue
reached nearly 680 million dongs; the tourism income was over 1,215,979 million
dongs.
At the conference, the delegates focused on
discussing the difficulties and obstacles in tourism development, such as
support for tourism product development, the limitation of developing the
market and information, promotion and introduction for tourism products.
In 2018, the Tourism Association will
continue to create favorable conditions for members to run the business in
tourism services in the province, to well perform the role of public or private
partnerships, advising provincial leaders on strategies and plans for tourism
development in Hoa Binh province., to participate in the cooperation program of
tourism development in 8 provinces of northwestern expansion in 2018.
Alongside the diverse cultural identities of the Kinh, Muong, Tay, Thai, Dao, and Mong ethnic people, Hoa Binh province is also renowned as the "capital" of the northwestern Vietnamese cuisine, offering unique and distinctive dishes. At festivals, during Lunar New Year (Tet), or on significant family or community occasions, special dishes are prepared, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
A Phong Linh (Yellow Tabebuia) flower garden in Thang village, Thach Yen commune, Cao Phong district is currently in full bloom, drawing a large number of visitors.
Community-based tourism has been thriving in Pa Co commune, Mai Chau district thanks to advantages in natural landscape and cultural identity.
Doan Ket commune of Yen Thuy district has recently held a ceremony to receive a certificate recognising Ta communal house as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic site.
In Lac Thuy district, the fertile alluvial land along the Boi River is now home to lush green mulberry gardens, marking the emergence of a new agricultural industry - mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming.
Officially opening in February, Ngoi Hoa Ecotourism Site (PriorBay Resort) in Suoi Hoa commune, Tan Lac district, has quickly become a sought-after destination. It offers visitors a chance to indulge in distinctive and enticing experiences.
