(HBO) – The People’s Committee of Hoa Binh province has issued Plan No. 175/KH-BTC dated October 28, 2019 adjusting Plan No. 84/KH-BTC dated May 6, 2019 of the organising board of the Hoa Binh culture and tourism week 2019. Accordingly, the event will take place from December 6-10 in Hoa Binh city and some localities of the province.
The
adjustments include time of the opening ceremony at 8pm on December 6, 2019.
Besides, the initially-planned carnival will be replaced by a Gong art
performance, to be integrated into an art programme at the opening ceremony.
A
photo exhibition titled "Hoa Binh – land, people” will kick off on December 7
and last throughout the festival. Cuisine and craft festivals will run from
December 7-9.
Outstanding
intangible cultural heritage of ethnic groups in Hoa Binh will be introduced on
December 8-9.
A
beauty contest will last from August to December, with the qualifying round
from September 3 to October 20 in Hoa Binh city and some districts, the final
round in November in Hoa Binh city, and the award ceremony at 8pm on December
9, also in Hoa Binh city.
Within
the framework of the festival, there will be a workshop on Hoa Binh’s tourism
product development on December 10 in Hoa Binh city.
The
closing ceremony will be held on December 10 night at the provincial Cultural
Palace, and broadcast live on the provincial radio and television.
It
is noteworthy that the beauty contest will be combined with tourism promotion
in localities such as Cao Phong, Tan Lac and Mai Chau districts. Besides,
travel companies in and outside the province will organise trips to
community-based tourist sites in the locality.
The
new plan also identifies the funding of the project, which will come from the
provincial budget and different economic sectors./.

A Phong Linh (Yellow Tabebuia) flower garden in Thang village, Thach Yen commune, Cao Phong district is currently in full bloom, drawing a large number of visitors.
Community-based tourism has been thriving in Pa Co commune, Mai Chau district thanks to advantages in natural landscape and cultural identity.
Doan Ket commune of Yen Thuy district has recently held a ceremony to receive a certificate recognising Ta communal house as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic site.
