(HBO) - Since the third quarter of this year, tourism activities of Hoa Binh province have improved after overcoming the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The province welcomed 2.85 million tourists in the first 10 months, including 320,000 foreigners, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Hoa Binh province earned about 1.7 trillion VND (73 million USD) from tourism revenue in the period.

Since Q3, community-based tourist destinations in Sung village of Cao Son commune (Da Bac districts) has welcomed foreign tourists back again.

Tourist arrivals mostly increased in the second and third quarters, with resorts and community-based tourism destinations in the districts of Mai Chau, Cao Phong, Lac Thuy, Tan Lac, Da Bac, Kim Boi and Lac Son and Hoa Binh city seeing a rise in the number of visitors.

Of note, travel tours on Hoa Binh reservoir have become attractive to both domestic and international tourists with new services, such as a trekking and cycling route around the reservoir, adventure travel, ecotourism and cultural tourism and community tourism.

Hoa Binh is currently home to 412 qualified accommodation establishments, including six three-star, 23 two-star and eight one-star hotels, along with 233 lodging houses and 142 stilt houses for community-based tourism. In addition, there are nine local tourist spots and a tourism zone at the provincial level./.
