(HBO) – With substantial potential for tourism, Quyet Chien commune in Tan Lac district is expected to become an attractive destination for tourists in and outside Hoa Binh province.

outside Hoa Binh province.
About 19km from the centre of Tan Lac
district, Quyet Chien commune has five hamlets and 364 households with 1,712
people, of whom over 90 percent are Muong ethnic people.
The locality has been well-known for its temperate
vegetables and fruits like chayote, and frost and ice in winter, which has
lured many tourists, especially young people who like adventure tourism or taking
photos.
The 30 m-high Thung Waterfall that runs all
year round, primeval forests in Bieng hamlet and tea hills in Ca hamlet are
also attractive to young vacationers.
The locality is home to the Muong ethnic
group with special dishes such as smoked pork, hill chicken and steamed
glutinous rice.
Bui Van Quang, Chairman of the communal
People’s Committee, said Quyet Chien has optimised its potential and advantages,
and proposed agencies rolling out plans on investment attraction,
infrastructure upgrading and tourism promotion.
Local authorities have focused on
upgrading infrastructure and roads, while creating favourable conditions for
investors and tourists.
Last year, the commune concreted roads in
Bieng, Ca, Khao and Bac Thung hamlets, with a total length of 7km. It has also
worked to raise public awareness of environmental protection in economic and
tourism development./.
Alongside the diverse cultural identities of the Kinh, Muong, Tay, Thai, Dao, and Mong ethnic people, Hoa Binh province is also renowned as the "capital" of the northwestern Vietnamese cuisine, offering unique and distinctive dishes. At festivals, during Lunar New Year (Tet), or on significant family or community occasions, special dishes are prepared, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
