(HBO) – With substantial potential for tourism, Quyet Chien commune in Tan Lac district is expected to become an attractive destination for tourists in and outside Hoa Binh province.

Thung Waterfall in Bac Thung hamlet, Quyet Chien commune, Tan Lac district, has become appealing to holiday-makers in and outside Hoa Binh province.

About 19km from the centre of Tan Lac district, Quyet Chien commune has five hamlets and 364 households with 1,712 people, of whom over 90 percent are Muong ethnic people.

The locality has been well-known for its temperate vegetables and fruits like chayote, and frost and ice in winter, which has lured many tourists, especially young people who like adventure tourism or taking photos.

The 30 m-high Thung Waterfall that runs all year round, primeval forests in Bieng hamlet and tea hills in Ca hamlet are also attractive to young vacationers.

The locality is home to the Muong ethnic group with special dishes such as smoked pork, hill chicken and steamed glutinous rice.

Bui Van Quang, Chairman of the communal People’s Committee, said Quyet Chien has optimised its potential and advantages, and proposed agencies rolling out plans on investment attraction, infrastructure upgrading and tourism promotion.

Local authorities have focused on upgrading infrastructure and roads, while creating favourable conditions for investors and tourists.

Last year, the commune concreted roads in Bieng, Ca, Khao and Bac Thung hamlets, with a total length of 7km. It has also worked to raise public awareness of environmental protection in economic and tourism development./.
