(HBO) - On the journey to discover the destinations in the Northwest, there is a pass that is not too dangerous but it is extremely interesting, attracting tourists to stop, that is Da Trang pass (also known as Thung Khe pass). The pass is located on the National Highway 6, connecting Tan Lac and Mai Chau districts, and it is about 120 km from Hanoi capital.

Da Trang Pass has been attracting many tourists to stop and explore the beauty of nature.

At an altitude of more than 1,000 m above the sea level, the pass is covered with fog almost all year round, especially in the early morning and evening. From this winding pass, visitors can zoom out to capture the peaceful and poetic valley below and the houses on stilts looming in the distance. More specifically, right at this point of the pass point, visitors feel the type of weather that rotates in 4 seasons in a day like in Sa Pa (Lao Cai) or in Da Lat (Lam Dong). In the morning, the pass is covered with fog, bringing a bit of the coldness in the mountains. When the sun rises, it melts away the thick layer of fog, making the weather warmer. At noon, the scenery of the pass is lit up by the bright yellow sun. When the night falls, the temperature on the pass is low, the dense fog easily make it a little bit difficult for the drivers, so if you go back and forth at this time, you must pay attention to observe and prepare warm clothes if riding a motorbike.

January is the ideal time for the trips in spring. The area of Da Trang pass welcomes hundreds of turns of tourists every day. On Saturdays and Sundays, the traffic flows on the crowded route, but many delegations still do not miss the opportunity to admire the scenery, they check in at the pass before continuing their journey. Ms. Ly Thi Thu Huong, a student from the Academy of Finance (Hanoi) shares: Da Trang Pass is a destination in our group's spring vacation plan at Mai Chau resort. Reaching the highest mountain, taking amazing photos like the scenery in the European sky, we have a feeling of being conquered, discovered, enjoying the beauty of nature and the strange cold weather together.

According to the households in Tam Bat village, Phu Cuong commune (Tan Lac), the reason why it is called Da Trang pass is because of the process of breaking mountains and cutting hills to make roads before, the limestone rocks have a pure white color and then they drift down to cover the white mountainside. Looking from far away and it is most clearly seen from above, the pass looks like it is covered with snow, very similar to the Nordic snow country. A few years ago, after being chosen as the setting for the MV "Living away from you is not easy” by the singer, Bao Anh, the pass suddenly became a very hot check-in point. The image of the mountain covered with the white snow is not different from the epic footage at Da Trang Pass that has attracted young people to check in. With the increasing number of tourists coming to the pass, dozens of the households in the valley have set up tents on the pass so that visitors can have a place to take a rest and they display more goods to serve their needs. Visitors often stop to admire the scenery, rest for a while, enjoy corn, eggs, rice tubes and buy the products grown or taken from the forest.

Being located along the national highway 6, Da Trang pass is convenient for tourists to admire the unique "snow white” pass in the North. Along with visiting other destinations such as Muong Buoi Cai village in Phu Cuong commune (Tan Lac) below the valley, Mai Chau flagpole, Thai and Hmong villages (Mai Chau)... Da Trang Pass will bring visitors extremely the impressive discoveries and experiences about images of nature and life in the land of Hoa Binh.
