(HBO) – The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee has held a meeting to discuss the proposed zoning plan on a scale of 1:25,000 for Kim Boi district until 2040 and some other important issues. The event was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

According to the proposed zoning plan, the district will include chains of existing urban and rural residential areas. New urban, functional, and residential areas will take shape in a way that guarantees the balanced and harmonious development of urban and rural areas. The plan is expected to help Kim Boi become a district-level town by 2040.
Officials at the meeting said the making of the zoning plan for Kim Boi is an important and essential task to zone the development space, mobilise resources for infrastructure development, and provide a basis for management. The plan must comply with the zoning plan of Hoa Binh province, suit the local situation, and capitalise on local potential and advantages to boost development. It also needs to promote social security, security - defence, and environmental protection so that the district can achieve sustainable development.
Nguyen Phi Long, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, said that Kim Boi, home to mineral water resources, beautiful natural landscapes and unique culture, is identified as a key locality for tourism, urban, and service development.
The district’s zoning plan must specify the local development space so as to optimise mineral water resources and turn Kim Boi into a centre of urban development, services, and green agriculture. Apart from focusing on the services linked with mineral water resources, the plan should also pay take into consideration agricultural and forestry development, ensure the environment is protected during urban development, preserve local cultural values, and develop Bo township into a locality of green and sustainable development, he noted.
The official also demanded attention to the re-arrangement of administrative units, waste management, the planning and cemeteries, and defence - security issues.
He asked Kim Boi and related departments, sectors, and units to ensure the zoning plan’s quality to fully tap into local potential and advantages.
At the meeting, participants also scrutinised some proposed documents by the Party’s civil affairs board of the provincial People’s Committee, namely a document reviewing the three-year implementation of Directive No 61-CT/TU, issued by the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on July 21, 2020, on the enhancement of all-level Party committee’s leadership over compensation and resettlement; the enhancement of the Party’s leadership over the prevention, response and settlement of natural disaster consequences; and a report on the implement of Directive No 44-CT/TU, issued by by the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on March 23, 2015, on the enhancement of all-level Party committee’s leadership over the encouragement of people’s donations to social and charity funds./.
