Earlier, V-League champions Quang Nam defeated Hoang Anh Gia Lai 4-2 in the
penalty shootout, securing the bronze medal.
The match, which was also held at the Go Dau Stadium in southern Binh Duong
province, ended in a 1-1 draw in official time.
The 18th BTV Cup, jointly organised by Binh Duong Television and the Vietnam
Football Federation, took place from January 25 to February 4 with the
participation of three Vietnamese teams, namely Becamex Binh Duong, V-League
champions Quang Nam, and Hoang Anh Gia Lai; and two foreign ones, Vasco de Gama
from Brazil and Korean Students from the Republic of Korea.
The champions got the Cup and a cash prize worth 500 million VND (22,000 USD),
while the runner-ups and the third prize winners received 300 million VND
(13,200 USD) and 150 million VND (6,600 USD), respectively.
