Around 11,000 athletes and 5,000 officials from 45 Asian countries and territories will compete at the 18th Asian Games (Asiad 18) in Indonesia from August 18 to September 2.

The official opening ceremony for the quadrennial event will
be held at the Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta on late Saturday.
Vietnam has sent over 350 athletes to compete
in 32 of the 40 events, aiming to secure from three to five gold medals at
the continent’s largest sporting event.
