(HBO) - The traditional running race of Da Bac district in 2018 kicked off on November 2.

 As many as 91 athletes from 14 units of communes, towns, secondary and high schools in the district joined the race. They competed in four categories: 7km for men, 5km for women; and 5km for boys and 3 km for girls.

The organizing board presented four first prizes, four second prizes, four third prizes and 16 consolation prizes. 

In individual prizes: Dinh Thanh Hue from the Da Bac high school won the first prize in the category for the men’s 7km event, while Ban Thanh Tuyen from Toan Son commune and Xa Thanh Son from Giap Dat commune got the second prize and the third prize, respectively in this category.

In the women’s 7km event, Ban Hong Hue from Tu Ly commune won the first prize. The runner-up was Xa Thi Tu from Tu Ly commune, while the third prize winner was Xa Thi Diep from the Da Bac high school.

In the boys’ 5km category, the first prize was awarded to Xa Tien Anh from Giap Dat commune , while Xa Quoc Viet from the Tu Ly primary and secondary school, and Xa Minh Tuyen from Giap Dat commune won the second and third prizes, respectively.

Ha Thi Di, Xa Thi Thuy and Ha Thi Thuy from Giap Dat commune were the winners of the first, second and third prizes, respectively, in the category for girls.

 Team prizes: the team from the Da Bac high school won the first prize in the category for the men’s team, while the second and third prize were presented to the teams of Tu Ly and Toan Son communes, respectively.

In the women’s category, the team of Tu Ly commune got the first prize. The runner-up was the team from Giap Dat commune, while the winner of the third prize went to those from the Da Bac high school.

Boys from Dong Chum commune won the first prize in the category for the boys’ team, while those from the Tu Ly primary and secondary school and Giap Dat commune were presented the second and third prizes, respectively.

Girls from Giap Dat commune, the Tu Ly primary and secondary school, and Doan Ket commune, respectively won the first, second and third prizes of the category for the girls’ team.

In the rankings, Giap Dat commune ranked first, followed by Tu Ly communes and Toan Son commune.

 The organizing board also awarded the youngest athlete title to Dang Le Quyen from Toan Son commune.

 Through the event, the organizing board selected 12 best performers for more training, to enable them to participate in the traditional run of Hoa Binh newspaper, which is slated for November 10./.
