(HBO) – The trade union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policy (VBSP) teamed up with the bank’s branch in Lao Cai province to host the bank’s 4th Region 1 sport event, attracting 280 amateur athletes from VBSP branches in eight northern provinces – Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Vinh Phuc, Lao Cai – and the bank’s Information Technology Centre.
Prizes awarded to winners of mixed
doubles’ table tennis events for the 36 – 45 age group.
The sport event lasted three days with competitions in badminton,
football, table tennis, tug of war and tennis.
The first team prize went to the VBSP branch in Dien Bien while
the Son La branch came second, followed by the Lao Cai chapter. Additionally,
the organizer also presented 70 first, second and third prizes for players in
five sports and two extra prizes for the event’s oldest athletes.
The Hoa Binh team achieved big success in table tennis with six
first prizes in different categories, including the over-46 years-old men’s
doubles for Bui Van Chuong and Vo Hoang Hai, the men’s double in 36 – 45 age
group for Xa Van Hanh and Chu Dai Thanh, the mixed doubles in 36 – 45 age group
for Vo Hoang Hai and Nguyen Thi Mai Ha, the men’s singles in 36 – 45 age group for
Chu Dai Thanh, the men’s singles in under-35 age group for Xa Van Hanh, and the
women’s singles in 36 – 45 age group for Nguyen Thi Mai Ha.
The team also earned two second prizes in tennis men’s doubles in under-40
age group and badminton mixed doubles in under-35 age group alongside a third
prize in badminton mixed doubles for those under 35.
The sport festival offered a big opportunity for trade union
members of the VBSPs to play sports, improve their fitness and strengthen
solidarity among the bank’s staff members.
First prize winners will be qualified to take part in the VBSP
sport festival’s finale to be held in Da Nang in the coming time.

From March 21st – 23rd, the Department of Education and Training organized the Badminton - Table Tennis Tournament for students in Hoa Binh province in 2024.
The continuous sound of drums and the constant cheers of the viewers at each competition, the match have shown the appeal of the folk games. Having the opportunity to come to the festivals in Hoa Binh, visitors will be fascinated by the form of entertainment containing good traditional cultural values.
