Late in the afternoon, the people of Ru 4
hamlet, Xuan Phong commune (Cao Phong) practiced the volleyball at the yards of
the Cultural House.
Currently, all of the 10 villages have
volleyball teams with 40 teams, including men's and women's volleyball, the
elderly and a professional volleyball team of the commune. The number of people
regularly participating in playing volleyball increases rapidly. All the teams
have built their own rules and regulations to maintain the operations. The
communes often organize competitions with each other to exchange and strengthen
the spirit of the solidarity. In each commune, people having professional and
technical skills about volleyball are chosen as coaches to guide the techniques
and game rules for amateur athletes.
Mr. Bui Xuan Ban, a member of the elderly
volleyball team in Ru 6 hamlet said that every day, at about 5.00 p.m. we go to
the yards of the commune’s Cultural House to practice volleyball. Most of the
elderly in the commune play volleyball. Practicing volleyball helps me feel
better, refreshed and relaxed.
Ms. Bui Thi Din, Ru 4 commune feels that she
is becoming more active in all activities and her health is much better when
participating in playing volleyball. Volleyball club is really a useful
playground for women to practice and improve their health.
Volleyball is increasingly popular and it is
an indispensable spiritual food in people's lives. Therefore, every year, on
holidays and New Year days, Xuan Phong commune often organizes volleyball
tournament to celebrate the Party and the spring. On the occasion of March 26
they organize traditional volleyball competitions for youths, on that of
October 1 they organize volleyball competitions for the elderly and on October
20 they organize volleyball competitions for the Women’s Unions between the
hamlets. Volleyball competitions organized by the commune attracts a large
number of people in the commune and they have become a festival of people in
Xuan Phong commune.
With the increasingly strong development of
volleyball, the volleyball teams in Xuan Phong commune have participated in
many competitions organized by the district and achieved high achievements. In
2018, the Elderly Association participated in the volleyball tournament for the
elderly and won the first prize. Men's and women's volleyball teams
participated in men's and women’s volleyball tournaments organized by the
district and won the third prize.
