HBO - Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet from Trung Bao village, Cao Thang commune (Luong Son) was really happy when she witnessed her daughter (Trinh Khanh Ly, a school student of Cu Chinh Lan high school) taking the throne of winning the the championship of XD (men's and women's doubles) for table tennis at the 8th Phu Dong Sports Festival - 2019 of the province.

Trinh Khanh Ly won the first prize for table tennis of XD at Phu Dong Sports Festival of the province.

Ms. Nguyet says four out of the four family members all have been playing table tennis, starting from her husband's passion. He has been playing table tennis since 2005, so when our eldest child, Trinh Gia Khanh had to play a certain sport to train the health and make friends, my husband directed him to table tennis.

Seeing that their children are passionate and gifted, they have managed the time, the effort, and the money for them to have good conditions such as the good table tennis rackets, the environment and the training objects to have the opportunity to learn. The first son and the second daughter respectively, and Ms. Nguyet herself have been attracted by the "clatter" sound on the ping-pong table. They have all together been practicing and attending the competitions of different levels from the district to the province and then the national one.

Having stuck to the plastic ball for nearly 15 years, Mr. Hung has been the main table tennis player of the Provincial Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. He has been winning high rankings in many tournaments. It was his love for table tennis that spread to his eldest son. Having practiced hard with good qualities and the up-to-date ways of double fighting, he soon got achievements at the table tennis tournaments at Phu Dong Sports Festival of the province (the first prize for the men’s table tennis tournament for the elementary schools), the first prize and the third prize for the men's singles at the Table Tennis Championship of the province (2011 and 2015).

Although being the latest person to take up table tennis (in 2014), Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet has made rapid progress thanks to her desire to learn. In 2016, she won a bronze medal for the women’s doubles at the National Newspaper competition for the People's Teacher in Binh Dinh. In 2018, she won two women's singles championships for those who were 45 years old at the Table Tennis Tournament of The Provincial People's Teacher and Provincial Table Tennis Championship for the middle-aged people and the elderly.

The collection of trophies and medals of all 4 members in Mr. Hung's family has been increasing. The better thing is that from the spirit of "All people train the body to follow the example of the great Uncle Ho” of "the family of table tennis”has been spreading and promoting people around to take up the sports. The table tennis club of Sim Hill, the place where his family often play table tennis, has become a familiar address for many table tennis fans.
