(HBO) - The 29th Hoa Binh Newspaper Cup, a traditional cross-country run, took place at the Truong Han Sieu street in Hoa Binh City’s Tan Thinh ward on November 14. The event attracted the participation of 110 athletes from 16 delegations of localities, high schools, and training centres in Hoa Binh province.
They vied for six sets of medals in six categories, with the
length of the races ranging from 3 to 7km.

Nguyen Manh Tuan stressed the run has been organized since 1992 and become an
annual sport event, attracting more and more runners.

The organizer attributed the success of the tournament this
year to authorities’ attention and close coordination, good and thorough
organization, a large number of outstanding participants, and improved quality
compared to last year.
The event aimed to mark the success of the 17th Party
Congress of Hoa Binh province for the 2020-2025 tenure and promote physical
exercise among people.
The race took place successfully in the morning of the day,
with new talents showing up along familiar outstanding faces from previous
editions like Dinh Thanh Hue from Da Bac district and Bui Thi Luong from Yen
Thuy district./.
