The opening ceremony and the first match of the National Second Division Football League - Asanzo Cup in 2021 between 2 teams, Hoa Binh FC - Hai Nam, Vinh Yen, Vinh Phuc taking place right at the provincial stadium in May 2021. 

Being faced with this fact, the groúp of sports employees all over the province have made great efforts to overcome all difficulties and challenges, determining to complete and exceed the set plan right from the beginning of the year.

Since the beginning of 2021, Hoa Binh sports has had some remarkable activities although Covid-19 epidemic has caused many obstacles. The sports teams have competed in 4 regional and national sports tournaments and 1 sports tournament in the form of socialization. They have won a total of 20 medals, including 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 14 bronze medals. According to the set plan, the provincial sports teams would participate in 14 regional and national sports tournaments with the target of 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 11 bronze medals in 2021. It has been estimated to reach 4 national first-level athletes and 6 national grandmaster-level ones. Currently, the sports tournaments are being postponed, in order to fulfill the set targets, the province's team of coaches, athletes, and gifted students maintain daily practice for the good preparation of the force to readily participate in major tournaments. 

Regardless of the difficulties and hardships, the teachers and the students of the Provincial Gifted School for Sports Training and Competition are always enthusiastic and diligent in practice to improve their skills, tactics, and competitive psychology. Mr. Nguyen Nghia Hung, the Vice Director of the school says: "Currently, 100% of the athletes and the students are focusing on training in parallel with the strict implementation of the regulations for the epidemic prevention and control at the school. Each training area have been separately divided, there is practice time in each morning and afternoon, groups of 2-3 students have been devided to practice. 

Accordingly, the coaches have to develop the training plans, which are suitable for the students’ physical strength and expertise, and the training time needs arranging, the number of athletes and students have to be appropriate. Although the division of each training group has some limitations, it aims to achieve high results when the tournaments can take place again. All of the officials, the employees, the coaches, the athletes and the students of the school have been constantly doing their best, promoting a high sense of responsibility to successfully complete all the assigned tasks”. 

Referring to the outstanding sports events of our province in 2021, it is impossible not to mention the establishment of Hoa Binh Football Club and hosting the opening ceremony of the National Second Division Football League - Asanzo Cup in 2021, the first match between 2 teams, Hoa Binh FC against Hai Nam FC, Vinh Yen, Vinh Phuc. Thereby, it has been meeting the expectations and satisfying the passion for the king sports of the province's fans, which is an important milestone for the professional football development of the province. 

In addition, the activities of mass sports must also be paused for a long time, causing many sports development indicators are all affected. They include the percentage of people practicing sport regularly, the percentage of the sports households, the number of clubs.... The 7th Provincial Sports Congress in 2022 is the all-people sports festival, a large-scale mass sports event held once every 4 years. Consequently, it has been spreading and attracting a large number of people from all walks of life to participate, promoting the implementation of the campaign "All people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho”. At the same time, it has been creating the positive changes of the people's awareness about the role of sports in improving health and spiritual life. It has helped to discover, select and foster the force of athletes with the outstanding achievements to supplement the provincial sports teams for th he 9th National Sports Congress in 2022. According to the set plan, for communes, wards and townships, the competitions for more than 5 sports are taking place from the first quarter to the end of the third quarter in 2021. 

However, only 18 out of the 151 communes, wards and towns have organized congresses at the grassroots sports by the end of August. In addition, there have been 2 out of the 9 sports tournaments in the competition program of the 7th Provincial Sports Congress in 2021 and the sports tournaments celebrating the success of the Party Congress at all level have been held with the participation of 564 athletes since the beginning of the year.

They have prepared the conditions to successfully host the National Road and Off-Road Bicycle Championship; the cycling in the program of the 31st Southeast Asian Games. The quality of training and coaching for the 7 sports gifted classes has been improved; They have developed the plan organizing the opening and closing ceremony of the 7th Provincial Sports Congress, the plan to attend the 9th National Sports Congress. It is estimated that there will be 31.4% of the people practicing sports regularly, 25.8% of sports household, which is the tasks for the province's sports in the coming time. By the end of 2021, when the epidemics has been well controlled, the province’s sports sector needs to study, adjust the plan and develop a plan to organize a number of sports activities at all levels in accordance with reality to ensure the good completion of the assigned task.
