(HBO) - In the morning of March 10, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the Provincial Chess and Chinese Chess Championship in 2022. There were 53 athletes from 11 units (including 10 districts, the city and Provincial Public Security) attending the tournament.

These were the two sports competed in the 7th Provincial Sports Festival in 2022. Out of the 53 athletes participating in the tournament, there were 26 players competing in chess content, 20 players competing in male Chinese chess content, 7 players competing in female Chinese chess content; and they competed in 3 sets of medals.

The Provincial Chess and Chinese Chess Championship in 2022 was organized to contribute to promoting the movement of practicing sports in general and chess and Chinese chess in particular; selecting the athletes with the outstanding achievements to train and compete in the regional and national tournaments.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes entered the competition contents. The tournament took place in 4 days (from March 10 to 13).
