(HBO) -  ̣Before the complicated development of Covid-19 epidemics in the province, at the end of April 2021, Xam Khoe commune (Mai Chau) completed the organization of the communal Sports Festival. The organization wasn deployed early, focusing on improving the quality, being methodical in organization and competition, attracting the participation of many people... Xam Khoe commune aims to achieve high achievements at the VIII Sports Congress of the District in 2021, which is held in the arranged coming time.

The people in Xam Khoe commune (Mai Chau) are competing in stick pushing at the 4th Communal Sports Festival in 2021.

The structure of competitions at the 4th Communal Sports Fesstival in 2021 focuses on 5 strong sports, which are loved and practiced regularly by many people, including volleyball, tug of war, stick pushing, crossbow shooting and athletics. Before that, in order for the competition process to take place objectively and fairly, the commune had disseminated and provided the professional training for the team of referees, who would be in charge of administering the congress, and would resolutely handle the violations or offense.

The propaganda about the Sports Congress was promoted by the commune, associated with the campaign "All people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho”. Thanks to that, the movement of physical training and sports, especially the content of competition was actively practiced by the people. Accordingly, it helps not only improve health, the physical and spiritual life, but it also creates a change in people's awareness and actions about the role and benefits of regular exercises and sports; At the same time it helps prepare the force to participate in the 8th District’s Sports Congress in 2021 with the determination to achieve good results.

After the success of the congress, the faces with the outstanding achievements and prospects in sports such as Luong Van Hoa, Quach Van Huy (men's volleyball); Ha Thi Oanh, Ngan Thi Thu Ha (women's volleyball); Luong Thi Van, Ngan Thi Ngoc Hoa (women's athletics); Luong Van Duy (men's athletics)... the commune continues to review, select, train and foster a force of excellent athletes, being ready to participate in the competition at the district’s Sports Congress. The commnue has set the goal to achieve high achievements, therefore the work of building a force of athletes and training is carried out seriously and effectively, the specific training plan has been built, ensuring the professional requirements. After being selected, the athletes will continue to practice to maintain their performance and improve their personal achievements. In parallel with that, last year, in addition to the Sports Congress, the commune organized a number of sports activities to celebrate the major national holidays. They included the volleyball tournament to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2021), the volleyball exchange with the Communist Youth Union of the District’s Public Security…

Right from the beginning of 2022, the commune has planned to organize Olympic Running Day for the health of the entire population, however, due to the impact of Covid-19 epidemics, the organization has to be postponed until the epidemic situation is well controlled.

In recent years, there have been remarkable changes in the mass sports movement of the commune. People's training needs are increasing, many sports such as volleyball, football, and badminton are widely popularized. Currently, there are10 sports training fields in the whole commune, however, it has not yet met the people's health training needs. In 2021, the percentage of people who practice sports regularly in the commune reached nearly 50% and there were over 60% of the populatio is the sports families.

Mr. Ha Lam Phuc, the Vice Chairman of the Communal People's Committee said: "The organization of the Communal Sports Congress has contributed to promoting the movement of physical training and sporrts at the grassroots level. At the same time, it propagates and raises people's awareness in the active training, improving health and spiritual life, building a healthy cultural environment, repelling social evils, effectively implementing the campaign "All people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho”. This is also the basis for the commune to discover and select talented athletes to foster, train and prepare carefully in terms of skills, tactics, physical strength, ensuring good professional quality to participate in the competition at the district’s Sports Congress…”
