(HBO) - On April 20th, in our province, Vietnam Federation of Bicycle - Motorcycle collaborated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh to organize a tournament of the first-round short-distance terrain cycling of the Confederation Cup in 2023. It is a good opportunity for the national team's cyclists to rub, gain experience, and get ready to participate in the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.

The leaders from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism were presening prizes to the female athletes. The tournament of the short-distance terrain cycling of the Confederation Cup in 2023 takes place in 4 rounds: Round 1 (April in Hoa Binh); round 2 (April in Phu Tho); round 3 (August in An Giang); Round 4 (October in Hoa Binh).

In round 1, there was the participation of 42 male and female athletes from 8 provinces and cities, including Hoa Binh, Hanoi, Binh Duong, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Phuc, Son La, Military Region 7 and Lao Cai. In which, there were 19 male athletes and 23 female athletes.

Each athlete competed 2 rounds/race with a distance of 420m each round. In the qualifying round, the athletes competed in individual timers to rank, and 16 athletes would be selected, being divided into 4 rounds and the first and second athletes would be to compete in the semi-finals and finals.

After a morning of intense and fierce races, with determination and effort, the athletes successfully completed the competition. The results of the women's competition: the athlete Quang Thi Soan (Military Zone 7) won the first prize, the athlete Bui Thi Quynh (Binh Duong) won the second prize, the athlete Ca Thi Thom (Military zone 7) won the third prize.

In the men's competition, the athlete Nguyen Van Lam (Thanh Hoa) won the first prize, the athlete Dinh Van Linh (Hoa Binh) won the second prize, and the athlete Bui Van Nhat (Hoa Binh) won the third prize.

In the young women's content: the athlete Lo Thi Yen Nhan (Son La) won the first prize, the athlete Tong Thi Ngoc Anh (Son La) won the second prize, Do Hong Nhung (Vinh Phuc) won the third prize.

In the young men's content: the athlete Ha Cong Ngan (Hoa Binh) won the first prize, the athlete Bui Duc Cuong (Hoa Binh) won the second prize, the athlete Bui Anh Vu (Hanoi) won the third prize.
